Me Time Sanctuary

A self-care sanctuary located in Penn Valley, California, offering classes, events, skincare services, and community-centered wellness experiences.

The brand was designed to feel calming, nurturing, and emotionally restorative while avoiding the overly polished aesthetic common in wellness branding.

Self-care branding often feels aspirational or exclusionary.

Me Time Sanctuary was created around a different feeling:

softness, safety, and emotional openness.

The visual system was designed to communicate:

  • warmth

  • accessibility

  • calmness

  • feminine energy

  • emotional care

without feeling overly precious or performative.

the insight

The identity combines hand-drawn illustration, calming typography, and a soft color palette to create a visual system rooted in comfort and emotional ease.

Custom iconography and supporting brand assets were developed to create consistency across:

  • packaging

  • signage

  • printed materials

  • social content

  • website design

  • in-person experiences

The photography direction focused on creating a sense of intimacy and belonging rather than polished perfection.

building the system

Wellness branding often unintentionally creates pressure.

why this matters

Me Time Sanctuary explores a gentler alternative — one centered around emotional safety, self-acceptance, and community.

The result is a brand designed to feel:

  • calming

  • welcoming

  • restorative

  • emotionally grounded

rather than aspirational or exclusive.

“Zuza is an intuitive designer with outstanding professionalism and communication skills. I would recommend her to any business seeking guidance for building a brand that feels authentic and true.”
